I am the prototypical optimist as my posts usually reveal. I am hyped for the weekend for homecoming and a big game. Pitt has a chance to have a special, groundbreaking year with their defense, an improving offense and a chance to make a mark in the ACC. Big game some might ask since VA is 1-3? Yes, big game and a dangerous one. VA has had a bye week to prepare, has a number of highly regarded recruits, and has played a great OOC schedule with losses to UCLA, ND in last minute, and BYU, all top 25 teams. And, Pitt is coming off a big road win, which sometimes sends up a red flag for a letdown (ask some gurus in Vegas). So, this game is risky (which is a normal feeling for me anyway preceding a game). On a side note, an expert that is 25-6 on the year in picking against the line, noted that he thinks VA will win the game. I hope he is wrong for the 7th time. If Pitt is hyped and ready, they should win. They need it to keep the fanbase up, and continue to build program momentum. It would be a real downer to lose after the big win, and with the quality of recruits present, and homecoming crowd. I hope there will be a big crowd, nice weather, and a win to build hype for the next game. Pitt fans can't wait till Saturday.
