Need you guys to move over to the other site so I can stop coming back here for vball discussions haha. I'm feeling much more comfortable with Haiti at setter after last night.
That place is awful, man. Stay here.

Based on that match, I think Dupes will be in the serving rotation, unlike Klika. .

PSU tried Jurevicious on the left side whereas last year she mainly hit from the right side. It was not a successful experiment although obviously she will need more than one match to adjust, but her arm swing from that side is very unnatural.

The hitting errors by both sides were plentiful. Babcock didn’t play that much compared to her normal time, so to win with her on somewhat limited duty is encouraging.

I did get to watch a couple of sets last night.
  • I've never seen an opposite struggle the way Jurevicious did on the left side. Usually it's easier to hit from that side.
  • The timing is off on the sets. I think that's normal with a new setter. There were also some moments when communication wasn't good.
  • Remember how we were worried about middle before last season? I think that's the deepest position right now.
  • Bayless had some nice swings on out of system balls (there were plenty) and that was encouraging.
  • Speaking of out of system balls, Dupes was pretty accurate on those passes. Serving was on point and even though she didn't get to a few rockets, her first step is really good. She was at least in the neighborhood and had some nice digs. I don't see how she isn't the Libero in the fall.
  • Gregoire may well be in the rotation with Bayless. She has a learning curve she has to get through to play with the big girls.
  • Enjoy Olivia Babcock this fall. I don't see her coming back. She is just getting better and better and the Olympic program will want her to play some pro ball.
