Hopefully Pitt will announce the Spring plans soon. The official season start date is in one month. The SEC released their spring schedule which is 8 opponents twice each for 16 more conference games. Florida for example will have 24 total games.

I hope that the ACC redistributes the contests a bit after Pitt got pounded in the stacked North pod. It would be good to see how we compete against GT but also stack up some wins against the other teams.

Why wasnt Pitt good? The ACC is mid-major in VB

Replacing some of the most successful talent the program has seen since the 90's (Van Buskirk, Williams, Markovic) combined with highly rated top 70 recruits not being (quite) ready for primetime.

Finally released:

Pitt has 10 matches. They'll play two games per weekend in a pod format.

It seems like Pitt was reasonably lucky to get GT, FSU, and UNC all at FFH. @Duke/vs Miami looks like potentially their hardest weekend.

If Pitt can be ready on Day 1 (unlike their opening series @ Syracuse) and manage to beat GT at FFH, they'd probably be favored to win all the other matches on the schedule.

Hoping so for soccer's sake

Soccer is interesting. They just announced earlier today that the women are NOT playing any more conference games in the spring, but that teams can play non-conference games. But the men are going to play another six game season. They are going to split back into the regular divisions, you play everyone in your division once plus one team from the other division. The Atlantic spring champion will play the Coastal spring champion, and then if Clemson does not win the Atlantic division the spring winner will face Clemson for the automatic NCAA bid. If Clemson does win the Atlantic, there will just be one game for the championship (the Coastal winner would not have to beat Clemson to be the spring champion and then beat them again to get the auto-bid).
