VBALL: PREVIEW of Pitt vs Louisville - National Semifinal

I'm not suggesting I'd be happy to see Louisville win a title, but it is a good thing for the ACC that their two best programs get to face off for a guaranteed chance at a trophy.

I think being in our second straight F4, and one that contains zero Big Ten schools, is going to be a big boost for recruiting.

I won't be disappointed if Louisville wins the title. They're a really good team. Pitt can beat them but it won't be easy.

First, I want to acknowledge what a great player Anna DeBeer has been for Louisville.

In the regional finals, Anna literally willed her team to a comeback victory with kill after kill in the 4th and 5th sets. Especially coming off a knee injury suffered in September.

Notice the brace on her left leg below:

Methinks that when Anna is in the back row, Pitt will be targeting her and force her to move laterally. Her side-to-side mobility and her quickness has not returned to her pre-injury level.

Might be the difference in the match in Pitt's favor.

We'll see...

Was she injured when we beat them?

Why would they have her in the back row?

Forgot that Darren Morningstar’s daughter is at Louisville. Does she get time?

They were about to interview the Texas player and it cut back to commercials. ESPN +. Unless it’s on regular espn

Their blockers are better than our blockers. Might be a quick night if we don't figure out how to combat that

You go down 6-0 that’s probably the result you expect. Fairbanks seemed to get a little moment back at the end of the set. We have to figure out how to get points when they are in the rotation with that one huge middle blocker killing us.

I remeber now from the last time we played Louisville. This Elena Scott is so good. Big difference maker.

Stage seems a little big for Klika. Not good. Also, Ennis just doesn’t have the level of swings needed for this game

Was thinking the same thing. It’s a tale of two Libs in this match. Might have to find one in the portal.
