I'll vote for him because he plays for Pitt, but he hasn't earned it with his play to this point. I don't think that's all his fault. Last year he was a de facto 4th linebacker geared toward run stopping with very limited responsibility in the passing game. He didn't have to think too much, and had the freedom to fly around and make plays. This year he has been given more responsibility against the pass and he has struggled, a lot of that is probably lack of familiarity and reps. Saw him absolutely flat footed frozen all by himself in centerfield a couple of times against VT while the pass went to the sideline for another completion. He definitely struggles with his reads and responsibilities in pass defense. That has also made him less effective against the run, but we are OK there.
