For anyone wondering looks to be the away throwbacks again, as they been wearing the yellow lids for practice. Also Hamlin not at practice Tuesday and MLB Wirginis is back up and practicing, won't play but will add depth if he comes back next year, made some good plays last year in a reserve spot behind Galambos.

It's like the Pens a few years ago going Pittsburgh gold late in the year and the playoffs. Phasing out the old look and then rolling in to it full time the next

Hamlin got hurt last week that is why he was pulled from the game. Alan Saunders reported it right after the game.

While I prefer the throwback shades of blue and gold of banners wrapped around the sidelines at Heinz Field, this is very much a step in the right direction. That said, I think they won't be completely phased out for a few more seasons. But, yeah, retro home/away in 4 of 12 games is an obvious sign of things to come.
In narduzzi press conference on monday he alluded to it being more of a benching than being hurt. Hamlin still has a ways to go as a player.
No doubt he has a ways to go. I am just relaying what was reported after the game by someone who was there, and then in the locker room post game.
Hamlin needed a redshirt. He just wasn't ready and now stares down at his junior season already.
Who cares about what uniforms they where? I would rather see Pitt win football games. And basketball games

Did you actually hear Narduzzi's press conference on monday when he was asked about Hamlin? It was pretty clear, he was benched.
In fact I did.

I did not hear Narduzzi saying anything about a benching I just going off things I read, I feel it may be a bit of both, I believe he is hurting as well cause why else would he not be at practice unless s omethinf between him and coach went down in the locker room, the way Narduzzi likes to suspend guys for a while.

Yeah that's a good point considering uniform choices make you lose games. Damn, we are so foolish!! Why didn't we just chose winning!!
I am upset they used the blue blue gold combo for a road game and left us with white pants at home twice this year. Also bummed 2 years ago used the gold gold white (which most will hate me for bringing up) at Syracuse which I waited years for and they pull it out on the road as well. I am.starting to think they do these things to us fans on purpose.
