According to an article in the Post Gazette yesterday, Dec 6, 2016, the PSU athletic director stated they are willing to schedule 1 home and home with Pitt after 2025. It is not avoidance. They have 3 OOC games with an unbalanced Big Ten schedule. They want 7 home games per year, and just playing Pitt limits who their fans can see from all the power 5 conferences. They are playing Virginia Tech, WVU, and Auburn home and home. So our attention needs to be focused on WVU at the end of the season, because they WANT it every year, and are willing to play 2 power 5 teams OOC per year. Penn State does not want that with the size of their stadium. If Pitt were them, we would do the same. WVU is willing to have 6 home games with scheduling 2 OOC games against the Power 5. So all of this attention to PSU is wasted energy.

Pitt's focus needs to be on the ACC.
Get away from the non-conference "rivalries", they are too hard to maintain and will lose their value as the playoffs continue to expand.

-Schedule like Washington and Baylor. 3 Cupcakes is enough to get you into the playoff. Why would Pitt or Penn State risk a loss in the non conference after this debacle this season? The committee basically gave everyone a green light to schedule and blow out garbage teams by putting Washington in the playoffs. Only Pitt is dumb enough to continue to play Oklahoma State, Penn State, Iowa, Tennessee, Notre Dame etc.. 2 times per season when it accomplishes ZERO.

It might be riskier and more difficult...but as a season ticket holder I'd rather watch games against Nebraska, Iowa, MSU, Oklahoma State etc then watch Furman, New Hampshire, YSU.

Schedule PSU a home and away when they can, and just move on, take it when it's offered and go on finding bigger games to play , Alabama, Oklahoma, TENNESSEE, bigger programs than psu

Definitely The Coastal is the path to the playoffs

Just beat their asses 4 years in a row now... or at least 3 out of 4... and they're fans will scream for a renewal of the series so they won't have to listen to us throw it in their faces all the time.
