Additional decommit of Heron & senior transfer of Johnson really set PITT back in terms of personnel. Any 1 of the 3 could have helped PITT more than all 3 of the senior transfers. That's history so you go with what players you have.
Hopefully next year's 3 recruits will provide an infusion of needed talent. I believe Pitt will be more talented next year but the schedule will be tougher both in and out of conference.
