Pitt is down around 9 with about 8 seconds left and repeatedly foul. Why? What is the point of sending GT to the free throw line? I don’t get it.

More basic question: Why is their first quarter always so bad? They play two relatively close games and in both they were down double digits at the end of the 1st quarter.

Maybe the energy needed to come back that far drained them of the energy needed to close out either game.
