A woman Coach makes the most sense to me…
WVU also looking for a coach - their first year coach left to take the Minnesota job and supposedly get closer to “home”… One of the hazards of hiring coaches.

Yes I'd prefer a woman this time and HL has been secretly working behind the scenes. It's been really quiet and close to the vest. I'm sure HL will get us a good one. H2P!!!
This looks like a good hire. I had to Google her name, but did think that the Marquette and Villanova coaches may be good hires since they had good seasons. I'm not very familiar with the coaches or how much support they receive at their respective schools.
Man or woman doesn't really matter to me, but I guess a woman might be a better look right now.
My only prerequisite is successful HC experience. It would be nice to pull a coach from another P6 school but not sure how likely that is.
Our best bet may be to elevate a successful lower level coach similar to Ben Howland and Dan Fisher (Volleyball).

I have no strong opinions or knowledge about WBB candidates, but I agree that his track record looks decent. 1) He's a proven and experienced head coach, and 2) he's taken over two bad programs and built them up to 20-game winners. The Pitt job has been bad for like a decade now so they need a proven turnaround specialist like this guy.

He looks like a guy who turns around bad programs. I’d take that any day over someone with higher upside but less experience.
