I am not even going to go into the X's and O's, I am going to go right down to the root essence of the game. One that is even evident in some kids driveway. We all have played, whether HS, Jr High, even college, or Pee Wee teams, Intramurals, hell just neighborhood pick up games.......so you all can appreciate this.

There are some games, where you just know the other guys are better. You play a step slow, tentative. When you are going in for a layup, you almost expect it to be put back in your face. So you rush, or go up tentative. Or you don't even take the shot at all and pass it out. Your jumper loses form. Instead of acting instinctively, you hesitate, you are lost, you turn it over, or you basically just get rid of the ball as fast as you can because you fear the worse. You have no confidence, so then it just exacerbates all of the above. You are not having fun.

Contrast that with you are playing with guys you feel you are better than. You take shots, you drive with reckless abandon. You make quick, decisive decisions. You feel confident. Your shot has nice form, you get open. You are having alot of fun.

I can remember playing on a intramural team where I was the only guy who didn't play college BB, and some of them played D1. I was intimidated, I could hardly get a shot off in my own mind. Sure, I hustled on defense, but when I got the ball I got rid of it as fast as I could. I also remember many of times playing against peers or lesser lights, and just having a blast and doing whatever I could to score and make plays, not worried about not making mistakes.

Pitt right now, against MONMOUTH is the former. They should be the latter. What the hell? Are they that bad talent wise? Or is it strictly confidence (lack of) and lack of development?? I mean they should be blitzing a team like this. And it is like this every game. I am stunned from what I see. There is effort, but I am sorry at this level effort should be Monmouth because you should have better players. We don't. We don't have better players than almost anyone. Some Darth Vader clown can try and spin what he wants, but these guys, Kevin Stallings had better players! Okay?

Firing Capel in midseason is not going to save the program. It certainly is not going to help recruiting. But perhaps, we saw Marcus Carr and Parker Stewart develop after they got away from Stallings, maybe some of these guys would fare better under an interim? I don't know. But think about Max Admunsen? Noah Collier? They are the new Peace Illgobah's (sp I don't care enough to look it up) Terrell Brown would be talented on this group. Santos? Come on, he's Robert Morris level, not ACC. Oladipo? LOL. A friggin walk on is one of our 4 best players.

And......the cherry on top of the sundae, there are ZERO recruits committed for next year. LOL, buyout? If Heather and Pitt can't negotiate it down for sheer incompetence and financial loss, then they need new lawyers.

Will Jeffress? Shows you all you need to know about recruiting rankings. If these guys aren't dominating on the AAU level, I could care less what they do at McDowell. McDowell is playing against guys like me. And one final thing, Pitt needs to get off its high horse and do what programs at this level does to get players.
