But the blame squarely falls on Scott Barnes. There may be some valid reasons for hiring a search firm like identifying candidates (which I don't really think you should need a search firm for), making the initial contacts and doing the basic background checks, but that should be the extent of it.
Sure looks like Mr. Barnes relied on the search firm for far more than just the above. I really thought he could think for himself but, in that ever knowledgeable hindsight, that doesn't look to be the case now.
