Hey I was offering a possible explanation for that absurd post about Lyke
My fault, I misunderstood your post. I though that was what you were thinking, not your speculation on what the other poster was thinking.

Yeah no kidding. I mean we are playing Notre Dame. You know, the school with the football team that has its own network. They are being subjected to this too. It is not just a Pitt thing. I can't believe how silly some people are.I'm not sure this makes any sense. There isn't an AD in the country, or anyone for that matter, who can do anything about a game running long and ESPN not being able to cut away from it. There's no responsibility anyone can take.

What is wrong with you and others? There was no need to respond to the ignorant post about Lyke. Got trolled yet you have to explain to all how ESPN operates. Concentrate on the game. You and Joey got trolled. I got a good laugh from Fredact’s post. I only offered an absurd reason that may have spawned the Lyke comment.I'm not sure this makes any sense. You might want to look up the definition of troll??What is wrong with you and others? There was no need to respond to the ignorant post about Lyke. Somebody from theACC should be on the phone about this. No one expects them to cut away from a live event that (maybe) some people are invested in, but interviews?I'm not sure this makes any sense. There isn't an AD in the country, or anyone for that matter, who can do anything about a game running long and ESPN not being able to cut away from it. There's no responsibility anyone can take.
Ok I get it now. I don’t keep tabs as to who offers idiocy on the boards. My mistake and apologies to a few on here. You might want to look up the definition of troll??
You are extremely confused. Fred act isn’t trolling, he’s just an Idiot
I totally disagree. Do you think they’d not have cut away if it was Duke? Why’d she accept that time if it was going to be preempted? Pitt, and only Pitt has ultimate responsibility for the delivery of their product to the customers. If Heather is not that person at Pitt, then who is.I'm not sure this makes any sense. There isn't an AD in the country, or anyone for that matter, who can do anything about a game running long and ESPN not being able to cut away from it. There's no responsibility anyone can take.
No, someone at Pitt needs to be on the phone, maybe with the ACC, maybe with ESPN. But it’s Pitt’s responsibility.Somebody from theACC should be on the phone about this. No one expects them to cut away from a live event that (maybe) some people are invested in, but interviews?
Do we have a contract or not? Who should have the leverage here? African basketball?
Wait to they delay the Duke_NC game tonight for the late African BB game. If it goes into triple OT they can come on and tell you that coack K's team just won!!!Now we have African Basketball League running late.
Why’d she accept that time if it was going to be preempted?
Exactly.I never understand why they always have to show ends of games that home markets dont care about. Being contractually obligated to show the end of Basketball Africa League games seems like a stretch. ESPN didnt have enough leverage in that negotiation to tell BAL, "we're going to pay you to put your games on but we may shift the final 2 minutes to the app once every 10 games." Is BAL going to say, "That's unacceptable, we're taking Fox's offer."
ESPN didnt have enough leverage in that negotiation to tell BAL
In the relationship between ESPN and the people who own the BAL I think you have which entity has the leverage exactly backwards.
