We made Ryan Dunn’s top 8

No word on Bam Margera or Steve O

No surprises there. Proximity to his home in New York is a potential factor and works in our favor. He's very close to his brother who is on the Mariners baseball team. His brother went to BC and they connect throughout the year in New York. We have a real chance here.

I listened to Dominick Barlow speak today. His list cut is coming and he is going to take visits soon. Im not naming anybody a leader, but Pitt has a really good chance to get Barlow based off what he said and its easy to see in his personality why he bonds with Capel. I also find it ironic that Barlow said he doesn't want to go to a school where there are big egos as chemistry is important and bonding with his teammates. He never would have made it to Pitt with a few of the transfers the last few years including ultra big ego Xavier Johnson.

His personality would mesh really well with Jeffress and Femi. He views himself in college as a 3 /4 tweener and ultimately wants to be a 2. That isn't going to happen, but I can see him maybe in about 3-4 years being a 3 if he develops and works on his shooting like Sam Young did. Pitching him as a 4 / backup 5 isn't going to work even though that's how he plays now. Its refreshing to hear a player saying he wants an honest coach on and off the court he can talk to about basketball and life that is straight up with him instead of a coach that is going to pitch bullshit.

I know this thread is about Dunn, but Im including Barlow here too since he is a priority recruit.

Dunn will visit Pitt next weekend, confirmed with Eric Bossi.

Pittsburgh: “Coach Capel is a really good guy. He came from Duke so he learned from one of the best coaches ever so I feel like whatever he took from Coach K he could use it at Pitt and that could be a good thing. He has a great relationship with me and the assistant coaches getting to know all of them is great so I feel like Pitt could be a good spot for me as well.”
