Just finished reading the interview of Damar Hamlin with Friedman. He speaks about an issue that all of us have understood for years. Attendance can and will influence how a recruit views Pitt. Here is a 412 guy who clearly is questioning whether the Pitt fan base really will support him and his team mates when they choose to play at Pitt I know this will bring the Pitt attendance justifiers out of the woodwork, but the fact is that we will lose recruits because of it. More importantly, we lose big time recruits who make a difference between wins and losses like the North Carolina game. What we all know is that the recruits perceive that there is a fan support issue in Pittsburgh. In their minds, perception becomes reality and they make a choice to go elsewhere.

Tarp the seats, paint the yellow seats grey, etc. are all discussed. If we have a ceiling of 55K, find ways to downsize the 65K capacity. Can we change the psyche? "Win and they will come". I don't know. What I do know is the administration needs to make this a top priority. Damar speaks for more than himself on this issue and we can't ignore it.
