The effort displayed against NC should have been an indication something was amiss on this team
Despite having an advantage in talent inside NC was and is beatable. What was disturbing is not that they lost but how they lost. After a tough loss against wake you would have expected to see a team come fired up and ready to play. Add in that your playing against a blue blood and you would think the same grit and intensity they showed through much of the year would be on display. Sadly they were getting beat to loose balls and not boxing out which are simply effort plays
that lack of effort snowballed against ND. Capel s post game comments were not encouraging that he has any idea of how to fix it.
just strange how a team that was showing so much of the grit and effort that JD teams were known for suddenly did a 180 in that area. It’s not one of those traits that usually just disappears like that
