I know that I will get blasted by this comment, but it is true. They may have had more talent, but last night's game was winnable. If I could, here are some questions I would ask the staff:

1) That was 2 out of the last 3 games where we made big halftime adjustments at the half and shut the door in the second half. How did we miss it so bad at the start of the game?
2) So you miss it at the beginning of the game, do you have to wait until the half to make adjustments? Have you heard of in game adjustments?
3) Who scouted NC? I did no scouting, but read the interview with the NC press. They said that their DBs were terrific and that they were susceptible to the run. Why did we abandon the run? A pounding run game gets stronger later in the game.
4) Do we practice an up tempo offense at all? When you are behind in college, you do not have to pass pass pass punt. The clock stops on first downs. Keep mixing run and pass, but get the plays in faster, get up to the line quickly and run your play. I don't know how many times in the second half I was watching precious seconds tick away while we were fiddle farting around.

Those were just some of the obvious things that frustrated the hell out of me. I do want to say that I am sold on Duzzi. I hope he stays for a long time in Pittsburgh. I see a bright future for Pitt under his guidance. However, last night in an important game and on a big stage, our coaching staff laid an egg.

Let the bashing begin.
