Grabbing the face mask (more like grazing the top of the helmet with the helmet worn not secured)

Pass interference on the flea flicker ( ran right thru our receiver coming back for the ball)

GT blocking after that interception (nothing to see there)

GT 2 point conversion try - clock expired and clear, obvious holding.

3rd and 3 inches (before the Bookser hold) - you need to run a QB sneak there (hurt or not - sub if you have to)

A lot worse than the penalty on Ford was ignored.

General remark - GT is a dirty team

I am fan of Paul Johnson and really thought they would light the defense up. We gave up 320 yards rushing but I was impressed with discipline and tackling.

Couch Johnson's call to fake the punt (assuming it was his and not a check down) was foolish. Got to think his seat might be getting warm. 6 road losses in a row and this was a winnable game for them.

Pitt is still a team of halves especially the offense. The game was close at the end because the offense made far to many mistakes.

Still, good win. Now can we win at UNC?

I'm glad you posted this, I don't always want to bitch about the officiating but the refs sure did all they could to keep GT in the game. This game could have easily been 35-6. The bogus facemask penalty really changed momentum and led to a GT score. The non call PI on the fleaflicker and subsequent no holding call on the return out to midfield swayed momentum and again led to a GT touchdown.
Agree also on the cheap shots by GT. They were doing it all game.
