If the ACCN started this year (and FSU game wasn't canceled)
12:30 - Marshall @ NC State
4:00 - MTSU @ Syracuse or Delaware @ Virginia Tech
8:00 - Wake Forest @ Boston College or ULM @ FSU
- This doesn't have anything to do with the ACC but I find it quite hilarious that WVU's home game with East Carolina is being televised by Fox Sports 2, a channel that almost nobody gets. I think this is the first year that FS2 is doing college football so hopefully that increases demand enough for Comcast to get it because it has a lot of good soccer that I wouldn't mind seeing. For a program that owns the Pittsburgh and DC market like WVU, hard to believe they had to be relegated to FS2.
- Very controversially, Miami canceled their game at Arkansas State due to the fears of not being able to get a flight home. The FL Gov. closed all public schools so Florida and Florida State have canceled their openers with Northern Colorado and Arkansas State. FIU is playing their home game vs Alcorn State in Birmingham and FAU is picking up a 7 figure check to play Wisky. So, if FAU can travel???? The real reason that Miami isn't flying out is because Arkansas State lost to Nebraska by 7 and had several chances throwing in the Nebraska endzone from the 2 to tie (or win on a 2 point conversion) from the 10 at the end of the game. Miami didn't want to risk an L in the Jonesboro Super Bowl and have less time to prepare for FSU if they couldn't fly back until Sunday or Monday........while FSU has over a week to prepare for Miami.
- Duke and UVa have the right idea scheduling like programs like NW and Indiana. Maybe Pitt should consider something similar instead of scheduling OKST, Mich St, Iowa, etc.
- It is crazy that a conference game like Wake/BC isn't televised. Its the first ACC game that hasn't been televised since BC/Maryland in BC's last year. I realize those programs suck but that's inexcusable nowadays with 900 sports channels. They should have at least moved it to noon so it could have replaced FSU/ULM as the Raycom syndicated game of the week.....or moved to 3:30 to replace the Miami/Ark St game on ESPN2.
