Here are the "marquee" games for week 2:

Georgia@South Carolina
Clemson@Texas A&M
Arizona@Houston
Michigan State@Arizona State
UCLA@Oklahoma
Colorado@Nebraska
USC@Stanford
Iowa State@Iowa

If I had to place a bet, I think UCLA@Oklahoma, USC@Stanford, or Clemson@A&M all have appeal. Where does Penn State @ Pitt compare to those games?

I think we have a really shot being ABC picked up the game and it makes production easier keeping Herbie near.

What say you?

I think the game has a great shot as it is probably the only one with a skyline backdrop they will have all year and probably will have the most boisterous fans in the background...

btw... Where do you get to place a bet on three choices? Reminds me of that off the strip casino Cousin Eddie took Clark to in Vegas.

UCLA/OU will probably be on FOX and Clemson/A&M will probably be on CBS. Isn’t Gameday normally at a ESPN/ABC game?

1. Clemson@Texas A&M - ESPN loves Clemson and Jimbo, my money is on this one.

2. UCLA@Oklahoma - National semifinalist vs Chip Kelly.

3. USC@Stanford - Always a great battle between these two.

4. Colorado@Nebraska - Old Big XII rivals battle it out, Scott Frost factor

5. Penn State @Pittsburgh - One of the top rivalries in the sport. Just not enough to move the needle nationally.

6. Michigan State@Arizona State - Top 15 Sparty vs Herm. This game will be boring as hell, but it's an interesting matchup nonetheless.

7. Georgia@South Carolina - Week 2 SEC east battles are intriguing.

8. Iowa State@Iowa - Rather doubt this game will live up to the 2017 thriller

9 . Arizona@Houston - Doesn't really belong on this list.

Clemson @ A&M is probably going to be SEC and OU/UCLA sounds like Fox for whatever that's worth. Have to go with Clemson/A&M though. Dabo vs Jimbo again

Herbie lives in Nashville.

Yeah the whole Jimbo to A&M story along with Clemson, I would think you are right. USC/Stanford this early moves no needle at all except in Cali. Colorado is far off any radar and Nebraska is not what they once were. I can see UCLA/OU, especially with the Kelly angle. So I would go
1) Clemson/A&M
2) UCLA/OU
3) Pitt/PSU

UCLA is no longer a school that is looked at as a power. Oklahoma breaking in a new QB is also a strike.

Clemson vs Texas am is game number 1.

Pitt vs Penn st at night would draw most of the North East and Mid Atlantic if Clemson plays at 330

As most of us know, nationally, Pitt is pretty irrelevant. Seeing stuff like an over/under of wins set at around 5, Kenny Pickett ranked as the 60 something best returning QB... doesn’t really move the needle and won’t help their case in being a national draw.

Pitt for sure has a chance with it not being in creepy valley, along with how much PSU lost from last year, I think it can be a good game. I just worry about our lines and the fact they have such an experienced QB, even if he’s lost his main weapons.

Somehow I think the team that knocked off the number #2 two consecutive years and is going up against a hated (that is more hated nationally than 15 years ago) rival and always gets good tv ratings despite poor attendance is not that irrelevant...

“Irrelevant” May have been a bit too harsh, but fair point. I was playing more on the lack of respect Pitt tends to get.

I wouldn't count pitt/psu out, I think it may be the 2nd most intriguing game that day. But yeah cmon, espn, jimbo just left Fsu and the ACC for an sec school. Hard to see them passing up on dabo vs. jimbo in the first matchup since jimbo left the conference.
