- Nobody does noon like the ACC.........well at least since the Big East died. The ACC is going 4 ways in the noon hour this week including the rare Raycom "split syndication." Not only could NCSU/BC and Syr/Lou not make it to an ESPN network, they couldn't even make it as a full Raycom syndicated game. There are going to be lots of Syracuse alums in Boston upset they can't watch Syr/Lou. Bottom line, these noon starts completely suck. There's no reason the day in the ACC should end when the sun goes down. Totally stupid.
- I know Duke lost Saturday but still, this week's Duke/UNC game is one of the biggest ever on the football side. I cant believe it gets a nooner on ESPN2. I mean, Navy/Memphis got 7PM ESPN2 over it. I would have thought ESPN would have wanted to pump up Duke/UNC. Navy/Memphis is a good game and Navy is fun to watch but there's no way that's getting higher ratings than Duke/UNC.
- Pitt/ND at noon has been talked about enough but its at noon, primarily because before the season, ESPN decided on having 2 Big Ten games in prime time. Its rare, to say the least, to have a Saturday November game time set in July but that's what happened. The Big Ten knows TV and they know how to strong-arm ESPN. Aint no way in the world OSU/Min or MSU/Neb out-rate Pitt/ND on the tube in prime time. The ACC needs to do a much better job of getting their teams to better time slots and you can't just say "just win." The ACC is doing well this season. 6-2 Pitt vs CFP hopeful ND screams Prime Time, not noon. OSU/Min, please. Will OSU score 40 before half? Just the same, Duke/UNC is a good game.
- FSU/Clemson at 3:30 diminishes the game but it is what it is. Clemson's last big test until the season ender in Columbia. Dabo has beaten Georgia, Auburn, South Carolina, LSU, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame but not Florida State. This time he does.
- Virginia over Miami. Book it. Root will show it at 1AM after Penguins hockey. They are showing Marshall/MTSU instead but as the RSN for West Virginia, they basically have to.
