I hate to be that guy, but Cincy at home this year realllly should’ve been a win.
They had some serious wrinkles to iron out on defense too. That RB who gashed them hasn’t even made much impact this year outside of that game. But yeah, the D did better in the 2nd half and gave the offense multiple chances to take the lead but they just couldn’t do it.Well, it certainly would have been if not for a qb going 10-33 and giving the game away
A winning but maybe not an undefeated record against those types of teams.Pitt should have a collection of Duquesne, temple, Rutgers, Navy, UConn, YSU, Buffalo. Our ooc schedule should be so easy that even Jurko could have a winning record with it.
So should have the West Virginia game.I hate to be that guy, but Cincy at home this year realllly should’ve been a win.
Maybe so, and obviously the way they lost was excruciating, but losing a rivalry game on the road to a team that looks to be decent this year and might win 7-9 games (thanks in part to a pretty easy conference slate) is a bit more understandable than losing at home to a very mediocre looking Cincy team. Pitt looks more likely to finish with a better record than them at this point despite the head to head loss.So should have the West Virginia game.
Works for PUS.Maybe we could petition the ACC to stop scheduling us against ND, FSU, and Clemson.
Combine that with playing Duquesne, UMASS, and a bottom team from the MAC OOC, we’d almost guarantee a bowl game every year. We might not be any good, but hey we’d have a good record most years.
And thank goodness we didn’t get that rumored BIG10 invitation. If we had to play a 9 game BIG schedule, we’d actually have to recruit and coach well to have a good record. And none of us wants any part of that.
