I always liked Toney as a player.


But before you celebrate too early I am going to repeat what I said earlier today and Ive been saying for a year. The 2022 class is loaded and deep. There is a ton of opportunity in that class especially in our recruiting territory in the Northeast to rake in talent. And reclassification is on the table. There is playing time to sell. Its Capel's job now to sell it.

Im also bullish on our future backcourt of Odukale and Horton.

Even without a buyout- pushing Capel out at this point wouldn't make any sense imo. Unfortunately, Pitt basketball needs some level of stability after Stallings.

Like Narduzzi, Capel probably needs to make staff adjustments to maximize his success here.

There are a lot of potential pieces that can change things in a hurry in 2022. Again, we have to see how things play out.

I would not rule out Jalen Hood Schifino AND MJ Rice playing together. These players are friends and former roommates.

Ive maintained it may come down to NC State vs Pitt for a while for Rice. Rice's list is severely cut down already with Pitt on the very, very short list and that list is not expanding any more.

Rice updated his SI blog post written by him 2 days ago actually lists Pitt first out of his own mouth. And it is well known Pitt is right at the top for Hood Schifino and Rodney Gallagher, both 5 star caliber talents.

Again, I would wait to see how the chips fall because 2022 is loaded and deep.

The odds of them getting any of those kids has to be about 1 out of the 1000. Two of them? Probably 1 out of 100000. All 3 is literally 1 in a million.
