This kid is a special talent & the best player in western PA. A national recruit (I think OSU will be hard to beat). Hopefully Pitt gets him. But if they don’t it won’t be for lack of effort. The kid has said multiple times how much he likes PN and how no one is recruiting him harder than PN & Pitt.

Yep he has said OSU is his dream school. It’s clear Pitt is doing everything they can as the kid has said. If OSU, PSU, ND, MICH really want a kid from western PA (not just as a back up plan) they will get the kid most of the time. Hamlin & Whitehead are the exceptions. Hopefully Hayes will be that rare exception as well.

But most of these kids like the idea of playing in front of 100K fans and being treated like celebrities at these football crazy schools.

I just hope he is man enough not to string us along if he knows in his mind already that he is going to the OSU. PN needs to focus hard on those we have a chance with.

Seriously it must be crazy easy to recruit when you are blue blood football team constantly in the top 10 year after year. I honestly think I can do the job just showing up wearing the school hoodie, and I stunk at sales...All recruiter has to say is ' hey we're OSU, Bama, Clemson, UGA you have a chance at a national championship every year... what date are you committing?
