Look for womens wrestling coming to your U soon!
Maybe a partial football replacement sport!

  • One of the fastest growing sports with 13,496 participants.
  • 30 colleges now sponsor a varsity wrestling program.
  • Women’s wrestling has been an Olympic Sport since 2004 with Helen Maroulis winning the first gold medal for the U.S. in 2016!
  • California, Oregon, Guam, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Texas, Hawaii and Washington sanction an official scholastic state championship.
  • WCWA — Women’s Collegiate Wrestling Association— is currently the governing body.
In our area Eastern PA / Lehigh Valley a PA and national wrestling "hotbed" has lots of girls who wrestle in youth programs and do well up until around 9 or 10.

Some continue on boys teams and practise and wrestle JV or exhibition matches to stay in shape for AAU competition in hopes for a wrestling schlorship to college.

Mrs Buffett trained with a local girl/woman who wrestled in college. Our kids helped them too!
