What days are Bono and Hahn ......

Why would we want to do that? We should wait as long as possible so we lose an entire year of recruiting. That saves a lot of money on salary and recruiting expense.
One poster said he heard that Hahn was not interviewing so I'm not sure ...... the insiders seem to be on hiatus after last weeks flurries ....LOL !!

I've heard Bono on Wed from the same source who said Hahn was never contacted.
It's called the weekend.... and in addition - there is nothing new going on.
I don't know now if Pitt is even considering Hahn or if he has any interest in us .... he is associate head coach at Cornell under Rob Koll ..... here is a brief bio from the Cornell website on Hahn .....

I think Bono would be a good hire, although I would have preferred Pat Santoro.
If Bono turns us down and Hahn is interested, I would favor Hahn over Gavin (no disrespect to Gavin but I'm just not sure he is ready to be a head coach yet and Hahn is).
What a weird search. Wednesday seems like a long way off when there are players and recruits who need to have a coach. I don't know anything about wrestling other than what I've tried to pick up over the last few weeks, but I really dont understand why she wouldnt want to interview Hahn if hes interested.
The fact that Hahn is not being considered is strange. Hahn is one of the best technicians and rising stars in the profession. Those that remember, Hahn actually beat Cael is freestyle and nearly knocked him off as a Freshmen losing 4-3. 2 X NCAA Champ and a Legend in NJ wrestling. He's a big reason Cornell has been so successful. Excellent NJ ties in recruiting and a Jay Robinson(Minn) protege. No offense to Gavin, but Hahn is clearly superior in terms of experience and clout. I guess Bono is the top choice, and would be an solid choice, but personally, I'd take Hahn, settle for Bono, and would be disappointed with a Gavin hire.
It is strange to hear a candidate like Hahn isn't being considered by the administration. It makes you wonder what other coaches they aren't looking at. Unfortunately it looks like this "search" is really just the AD needing to feed an ego and hire someone that she wants instead of looking at what is best for the program. I think the mindset is that Pitt made attempts to get a current HC and if Bono doesn't accept, they will expect alumni and fans to be okay with Gavin because he's a nice guy and an alum and ignore the fact that he's inexperienced. That's too bad.
it's really not that difficult to comprise a top notch list(Hahn should be on it)and put some urgency behind making a great hire. Do we know if she has met Bono or is Wednesday the first time? This whole hiring process has an odd feel about it. I'm waiting to see the end product, but if this list, it's the best she could come up with, save Bono, it's pretty disappointing.

She's not even in Pittsburgh right now, she's at the Air Force Academy for an Athletic Director conference.
Anyone know if she pro actively left Pittsburgh to interview candidates since hired. i.e. Bono? Has Bono had a first interview? I don't see the sense of urgency, maybe I'm over analyzing this thing, but honestly this should have been wrapped by now IMO...botched at the beginning or not.
I've done enough bitching about this whole thing, so I'm really trying to tone it down a bit. However, questions that I think deserve an answer are these: Why is this process taking so long? And why couldn't it have been addressed over the weekend? There are plenty of decisions that are made over weekends - why not this one?
Couldn't agree more. I respect due diligence but this has the feel of apathy and incompetence. I truly hope I'm a mile off the mark but doubt it.
It's been a really odd process so far. Hopefully the outcome is a good coach being hired but it's hard to feel confident at this point.
Lyke was hired March 20 with two solid candidates already set up by the committee. I assume it gets done this week. Who knows.
That conference is from 4/9/17 through 4/11/17, so that is probably why the interview with Bono was set for 4/12/17..... hopefully, she will land him otherwise I expect another salvo of derision from the wrestling community.
