Do we really think he is going to "throw him under the bus."?

You can say all you want to the media, however if this program is going to take another step in the right direction, we need better play at this position.

Narduzzi needs to figure it out and it's disappointing that if you really look at our QB situation under Narduzzi---it's been tranfers that have come in here and played well or at least they look improved.

Narduzzi and this coaching staff does a horrible job in developing certain positions and quarterback is one that this coaching staff needs to figure out.

What gives? There is a big reason why we can't recruit solid QB's....

Narduzzi and his staff managed to turn Peterman into a good QB. I am not sure why that wouldn’t count.

Why would it be so damaging to the lads psyche to announce the competition for all jobs on offense including QB is wide open for the coming season?

He needed to just say "he had a rough night" and leave it. When he goes "I am going to petition NCAA for another year eligibility" - people tend to think he's lost it.

Yeah. Kind of weird. Definitely doesn't make fans already pissed by what they saw feel inclined to buy bowl tickets or season tickets.

He made the only public comment he could make. He should open up the competition in the off season though. The problem is with losing 4 out of 5 starting OL, Pickett might be the only QB mobile enough to be semi-effective in the offense.

Here is what I expect Narduzzi to say:

“Well.... As you all saw tonight, Kenny sucks...
Everybody criticized me last year for burning Kenny’s redshirt. Tonight I look pretty smart. The sooner he’s out of here, the better.”

I was a big cheerleader for Kenny Pickett, but for multiple reasons he has lost his abilty to assess defenses and find secondary receivers. Hesitation has set in due to his lack of success. If you watch films of great QB’s. their heads are moving to assess the entire field and they pass on instinct. Kenny locks on to his primary receiver putting his receivers and the plays chances os success at risk and only passes when he believes it safe. Secondary Pitt receivers have been open all year but in Kenny’case the “perfect has become the enemy of the good”. This is not all on Kenny, for multiple games now the plays have been delivered late giving him precious time to assess the field or have lead to penalties that have put him a blitz passing situation. Some coach needs to get his act together or his bags packed! Additionally, for what ever reason Pitt play selection avoids slant passes in favor of an over kill of flat passes, which drive me crazy on third downs. Kenny is a tough dude and has the talent to be outstanding, but he needs coaching to change the habits that are in the way of his success. Most importantly, Pitt’s coaches need to trust him to throw down field or find some who can. Pitt’s no risk pass attack is Pitt’s biggest risk!

Why does anyone take any coaching comments made immediately after a bad loss as scripture I’ll never understand

I was back in Pgh for a few days and listened to the Fan in the car... by a large large margin all people discussed across the board was Rothlisburger comments on Antonio Brown

When you haven’t heard that stuff for awhile.. all this minutiae of analytics of comments it really really strikes you how absurd it all really is...

This went on for days by the way ... it’s ridiculous it’s like listening to bored drunk dudes at the bar..none of it actually has any importance or value...

So no I don’t really care that much what Narduzzi is saying immediately after a bad loss...it’s just coachspeak he has to do for the media but it’s not carved in stone anyway ...

He has been consistent all year when asked about the QB position. He has been adamant in regards to KP doing just fine with the rest of the offense breaking down one way or another. He's either having a hard time swallowing his decision/handling of the position...or...protecting his OC pal.

How about Kenny has some great hair?
How about Kenny is the QB of the Coastal Division Champs. Some of those teams would have abs you would deem better.some of those teams would have talent you might deem better. Congrats to Kenny and the team.
