I have been pondering this question a lot. For many of us PITT fans 2021 was the best season of our fandom.
In basketball, the younger generation has seen number 1 tourney seeds, elite 8s, and conference championships (in the best division nonetheless).
With that said, the years of losing since the Dixon era have made us hungry for success.
What will it take for you to consider this season as successful as the 2021 Pitt Football season?
The 2021 Football Season to me showed that we had a chance to win it all under the right scenario and that PITT football was “back” and could compete in the modern era.
For me it’s winning either the ACC tourney or regular session and making the sweet 16 OR getting to the elite 8 even if we lose the ACC).
The season is already a success for me but to be considered an all time great season those are my thresholds.
What are yours?
