What is REAL story with Mike Young benching

The standard "here's a benching to see if you'll play like an upper classmen leader and not an individual padding you're stats for scouts". Pretty simple
Which is precisely the problem the last few weeks and why Pitt is .500 in the ACC. Hard to watch
agree he is a selfish sh*t...but is that it ...and why was Sterling Smith benched for Jones...seriously...Jones has been terrible too
But you complained about Smith, previously. I think only Lecak has avoided your scorn.
Smith is useless. Robinson can't get him an open shot. Jones isnt good but he at least drives to the basket.
Yes it is sad to say but Chris Jones is probably our best guard or has the best guard skills, at least he is strong enough to get his shoulders past defenders and get to the hoop and he is also strong enough to finish even though he doesn't sometimes. Robinson and Smith seem lost entirely when the caliber of competition goes up. Sadly Jones is a 3 forced to play 2. Jamie please find a two somewhere! Maybe try Australia or Kiwi land again. Surely there is someone out there who doesn't know about Pitt and Jamie's system that would roll the dice and give us a shot!

Just hearing Lamar's name, what I wouldn't give to see him play in a Pitt uniform just one more time!
Wait a second. Pitt played Tuesday night in Miami, flew back to Pittsburgh, presumably went to campus and Young was back at the airport for a 7:20 a.m. flight?
Maybe it's the same flight Dixon got on to meet with USC after the Butler loss.
A few random questions crossed my mind after reading this and subsequent posts:
Wouldn't it be an NCAA violation if anyone other than Young or a family member bought his ticket?
If he did commit a violation, would Dixon punish him by not starting him then put him in the game? If you are going to hide it then you start him, don't cause any unneeded attention. If you are not going to hide it, don't play him.
Would you hire an agent or transfer to a coach that wanted you to fly from Pittsburgh to Atlanta at 7:20 AM after you played in Miami the night before? Doesn't sound like that person has your best interests in mind.
I'm assuming this part of the thread was ALWAYS tongue in cheek. No kid is likely to be flying in his warm-ups after a game. I guess we'll see for sure if Young is playing vs Wake tonight.
