Don’t want to sound like someone else, but I would like Sean Miller.I thought to myself years ago that when Jamie ever left he would be perfect.But a lot of water has gone under the bridge since then.One person I don’t want is his brother Archie.

I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but give us Pitino. I know its not going to happen, but this may be the only move to get this program off life support.
Pitt has never gone out and hired a good coach in its history. It doesn’t care to.
The Nike guy, Vacarro, gift wrapped the school Howland, who brought Dixon. Without Sonny, Pitt never hires a guy like Ben or Jamie.
Pitt hoops will never be good like the 2000s in my lifetime, and I’m 48.
The current coach hasn’t recruited one good shooter in four years. Un-freaking-believable. He just makes excuses like losers do.

Next game Pitt will keep it close and most will say he is coming back. Ugly cycle.

Enfield and Pitino aren’t realistic. Enfield would have to be brain dead to leave LA.
There’s about an equal chance of you getting the job as there is Enfield taking it. Which is to say (obviously) zero point zero.
Medved and Ryan Odom. Also, this Jeff Linder guy at Wyoming is doing a great job. They are a likely NCAA team and he took over the equivalent of the Stallings era at Wyoming and has an NBA guard in Maldonado and a bunch of other talent. Could we offer buckets of money that Iowa State doesn’t have to lure Oltzelberger away? Maybe not realistic.
We cannot do another year of Capel. He is a big time loser as a coach. 6 straight seasons. Not even Jim Christian or Pat Chambers did that.

There's a mansion being built and it doesn't sound like you guys are bringing a hammer.
Either of these 2 and make the deal now through back channels so they can hit the portal hard the day after the season ends.

If you're going to pay a $15 million buyout, it doesn't make sense to hire a no-name and play in front of no fans for a couple more years and hope he wins eventually.

I hate guys who just maintain a program. He may be a good coach but he stepped into a machine built by the other dude. I'm not impressed that he's winning
I mean boosters can pay players now through shady AF fake companies. The NCAA is a joke. Pitino gets us to the next 5 NCAA Tournaments and retires and hands the program off to his Associate Head Coach Brandin Knight. Why does anyone care he was dirty at Louisville?
What about Schmidt? He would get this program stabilized and even get us in the top 25 after a couple of years. Then he moves on and we get a splash hire.
Won't be popular but Bobby Hurley. He's just a horrible fit at Arizona St. His brother is doing well at UConn using his east coast ties. AZ St will let him go so we won't have to add a buy out in addition to what we will owe Capel. And I like to potential of King Rice. Pittino and the Millers are a pass.
Why in the hell would Buzz Williams come here? For one. He's a Texas boy and worked his way home. He's not coming north again. Secondly, he's making $4 million a year. Is Pitt even in position to match that? But you are the basketball expert on this board.
And do you think at his age Pittino wants to travel to FSU, Clemson, VT. He's an east coast guy. He's only leaving Iona for a BE job, maybe an A-10 job, or a NYC area mid major that is better than Iona. Guy doesn't need the money so being in NYC is more important than an ACC job.

The point with Miller is that if he can’t get it done with a roster filled with NBA guys he isn’t going to get it done at Pitt. Not sure why that’s so hard for you to grasp. He’s also another guy who has only ever stepped into established programs.
1.) I want someone who this is their first P5 job. Hungry and desperate unlike Capel and Stallings.
2.) No brothers on staff.
3) Some experience actually buildimg a program is preferred which is a knock against a guy like Valentine. Although at the end of the day a good coach is a good coach.

Sounds like Mark Schmidt to me. He’s not young. That’s the only strike against him.
