What seed would be best

Looking at how brackets are set up Pitts best chance of winning one game comes with an 8/9 seed ,but then you run into the #1 . To win two games it appears that a 12/13 seed has a better chance to make it to the second weekend needing to beat the 4 & 5 seeds. Of course it all depends on match ups , but this Pitt team has the ability to beat good teams ,but not enough to beat the UNCs of the world. If the shooters ( Artis ,Jeter, & Slim ) show up Pitt can make it to the second weekend if they can avoid that 8/9 seed.

I agree with your analysis except for one thing. Pitt has shown little ability to string victories especially against good teams. They can play great like,against Duke but then fall flat against weaker opponents.

I am a Pitt fan but see little,hope,at getting to the second weekend.
