What these last 3 regular season games mean for Pitt soccer

Those are RPI rankings. We are 15th.

If we win them all, we probably go into the ACCT with an RPI somewhere between 5 and 8 and are in position to be one of the 16 seeded teams in the NCAAT meaning a 1st round bye and home games until at least the Elite 8.

If we go 2-1, we lock up an NCAAT.

If we go 1-2, we may still need to 1 in the ACCT.

At 0-3, we may need 2 in the ACCT

Are the tournaments single elimination, like basketball? And if so, do they play 30 extra minutes and go to shootout, like in the pros? Or are they sudden death?

Single-elimination. There is extra time, not sure how long or if its sudden death. Eventually there are PK's

Not that I know of but with an RPI of 15, at this moment we would have to be very safely in.

College soccer plays two ten minute overtime periods. It is golden goal. In the regular season games tied after the two overtimes end in a draw. In conference or NCAA tournament games the game goes to penalties if it is tied after the two overtimes.
