What was our defensive strategy?

I know our defense is lacking this season but tonight was brutal. Two BC players had 90% of their points and Hanlan had 39. How does Dixon not have his team prepared? Why not double team Hanlan everytime he touches the ball? Is this a coaching issue or player talent on D?
