Do we do for the future of this football program???
I know what I see and a really hope Narduzzi does too.
I see a team with very little talent.
I see a team with a bad QB and nothing behind him that can be fixed. Now or In the near future.
At least when we went 5-7 under Narduzzi a few years back. We had a QB that showed signs of being special in Kenny P. Nothing close to that on this roster.
I see an offensive line that is lacking talent and nothing in the near future to hang your hat on. Perhaps Baer. That’s one of 5.
I see a very below average wide receiver position that needs a serious upgrade in talent that cannot be fixed the traditional way over this year and next.
I see on defense a very average defensive line unit with no young guys showing signs of becoming all ACC type players. Same at defensive end. You would think some would show signs by now but they have not.
We lose our 3 best corners this year with no young guys stepping up and showing they will be good players next year.
We have 2 decent safeties and nothing behind them that gives us confidence they we help in the next few years.
We are incredibly average to below average at the linebacker spot and we are losing all 4 of them. With no young guys showing signs of becoming very good players.
This team is lacking talent. Up and down the entire roster. You can try and spin it here and there if you want but the truth remains .To the point it will be a minor miracle to fix this year or next.
I hope Narduzzi sees what I see and completely overhauls the entire roster through the portal ( which will take a full commitment from Narduzzi and Alliance 412 and its donors).
It’s obvious there is something wrong with our recruiting. Especially at the most important position in all of sports the QB position. Which means moves must be made with the make up of the staff.
I hope Narduzzi sees unless he makes moves with the entire offensive staff. Recruiting will get much much harder. I mean what highly recruited player wants to play in this old style smash mouth time of possession offense??? My guess VERY LITTLE!
This year is a disaster. Next year will be the same. Our ONLY hope in the future is if Narduzzi seees what I see.
Unfortunately, I don’t think he does.
I think he believes he has the players, coaches and talent on this team to fix this mess.
