What's up with Chris James??????

The season opened with Conner taking the bulk of the TB carries w James picking up the rest. After Conner goes down, it appears James either is hurt or just relegated down the depth chart. How can this kid slip this quickly and not even see the field against Akron and not seem to be in the conversation for Iowa. I noticed in Tyler Boyde's interview, he mentions his confidence in the running game and how both Ollison and Hall can get it done. Anybody know what is the truth with Chris James? Is he injured or in the dog house?
