The defense has talent holes everywhere.. You can scheme around them against teams with marginally better talent but it's very difficult to do so against materially more talented teams. The DL has no playmakers and they don't penetrate and they don't protect a set of slow LBs. This means you have to use your safeties almost completely in run support which leaves a pair of corners, one who is plucky but small and the other who is maddenly inconsistent out on an island. I'm hopingPitt goes the juco route for some DL and LB help, particularly at MLB.
Offensively we need a horse at RB and a couple of studs at WR. We'll get there but it may not be overnight. This staff knows what it's doing which is something I could never say about the last 3 or 4 coaching regimes. That's why we need to hold the fort and win at least 2 of these last 3 games.
