I think I first ate (DRANK) at a Mellow Mushroom in 1998 in Atlanta. Mellow Mushroom has great pizza, especially their mushroom pizza. And always a good beer selection. They mostly have places in college towns in the South. But they do have a franchise outside of Columbus.

But I think it started in Atlanta, at the one I visited, back then was a Steeler bar/Pittsburgh friendly place, so I am not sure but the originators maybe yinzers.

Same here... First time I ate at a Mellow Mushroom, was Mid 90's, in Atlanta, for a game watch of a Steeler game.. packed with Pittsburgh transplants that lived in Atlanta...
Had a blast, and pretty good pizza...
When I travel to Atlanta, I still stop by a Mellow Mushroom, occasionally, but a different location...

With all of the publicity from the ACC Network, Bojangles would be foolish not to at least test the waters here. I mean, they've been running commercials for years now...I'm sure a location in Oakland would do well.
