They're going to run the wheels off bell, then they don't really care if he leaves. At which point they can insert a James Conner that had a year or two of NFL practices without ever really suffering the wear and tear of games.

I thought boyd would have been a good #2 in this league, especially with Green on the other side.. I also assumed Conner was perfect fit for steelers and was going to get about 5-7 carries a game..
LOL, I disagree. I do think all of them are getting into game shape, and I would like to see Conner more, he had one great 9 yard carry last week, but I doubt he is sitting out to keep Bell from looking bad.
I am only going by the public shot that Tomlin directed at JC in the preseason. Whether JC is better or worse on special teams than others in actuality really isn't important if the HC thinks he's poor at them.
