Detroit: 4 Horizon
Cornell: last Ivy
Kent State: 1 MAC East
Purdue: 3 Big Ten
Duquesne: 11 Atlantic 10
Central Arkansas: 12 Southland
Eastern Washington: 3 Big Sky
Morehead State: 2 Ohio Valley East
Davidson: 3 Atlantic 10
Western Carolina: 8 Southern
Maryland-Eastern Shore: 4 MEAC

Purdue is better than a lot of people think. They could be a 3/4 type of NCAAT seed. Beating them would be so important for our resume.

Kent State is a really good program and could be a Top 50 RPI team. We better be ready to play. They are better than 4 or 5 ACC teams.

Eastern Washington and Morehead State both can have Top 100 RPI years and arent bad games.

The schedule does have anchors who can finish 250 or lower: Cornell, Duquesne, WCU, UCA, UMES. That's too many.

If we are going to be 'ready to play' against the likes of Kent State and Purdue.... Ryan Luther better not see many minutes in those games.

The Zags were scoring against him in every way you might imagine and every time down the court.

Then, I was watching the replay of the StJI game and.... he was fronting their bigs and they were going over the top on him and beating him. If the StJI bigs can beat you, almost EVERYBODY'S bigs can beat you.

I just wonder what percentage of our opponents points have been scored against Luther. IMO, it would not be pretty.

Luther works hard out there but he is just too undersized at C. And, of course, we got no minutes available at PF.

As far as Maia is concerned... I am starting to wonder if he is gonna turn out to be this year's Derrick Randall. But, only time will tell and he at least seems better than Luther.

Might end up with ANO (if he can avoid foul trouble) at C spelled by Young, which of course facilitates getting Sheldon Jeter more minutes at PF.

I think Luther is getting his game legs and see an intelligent and improving player. Whether he gets in the rotation will be up to Jamie and Ryan.

Well, watch him in the game tonight and see what happens.

Most likely he will front the big he is covering and the other team will go over the top on him... and score.

If not that he will get beat in other ways.

Dixon will continue to get him time but... IMO his size disadvantage will prove to much of a handicap to overcome.

I was thinking he would be good enough against teams without major bigs but, now I am not sure about even that.

Everybody gets beat at times but right now Ryan is the hole in our defense. Once Gonzaga realized they could beat him they were going at him every time down the court.

He tries hard enough that is for sure but he is really undersized for the position. At 215 he can't move other bigs at all.

I told you Maia is not that good. So, YES, he will be this year's Randall. I've seen him play a few times and I couldnt be less impressed. I expect nothing from him and would be surprised if he's in the rotation long. Luther is so much better.
Have you seen him play when healthy?? In decent condition??
