I'll read anything that pops up on my phone and looks interesting, but it doesn't take any time at all to realize their bias. Everyone criticizes the mainstream media (I consider Fox, CNN, MSNBC, WSJ mainstream as well as ABC, CBS, NBC, NY Times), but its critics all seem to rely on something even more biased as their go to news source.

What do you guys recommend as an unbiased news source?

Why do expect any news source to not have some bias?

Interesting chart. Shows Fox News is less reliable than CNN and MSNBC. I am not sure I agree. All 3 are equal propogandists.

In another post, I said the CBS News Channel (available on Roku) seemed more down the middle but was still left-leaning.

I like the ABC website when I need non-political news. They do a good job with that.

There's 2 news channels on YouTube TV that claim to be unbiased, Newsy and Cheddar but they are so low budget, its tough to watch.

I watch and read mostly CNN and MSNBC but I do go over to Fox to get the extreme other side, knowing the truth is somewhere in the middle.

Al Jazeera and The Weather Channel looking pretty good.

Glad to see ABC where it is. I seldom watch TV, usually read instead. But I put on WTAE in the morning because they have the best looking women. If I do turn on the evening news I just leave it on the same channel.

I'm sure some will think that a chart showing bias is biased, but that looks pretty reasonable to me.

Funny, several times I was reading the Daily Caller and was struck by the praise they were giving Tucker Carlson. I didn't realize he was the founder and editor.

There really isnt any. They are either way to the left or right. Not much in the middle best to watch a couple sources and make up your own mind.

That's quite possible. It's also quite possible that some people just don't like the results.

I like the Hill and the 6pm news hour on Fox News. And now that the afternoon news at Fox is no longer hosted by a flaming leftist, that’s a good option with Bill Hemmer.

I read just about anything that pops up on my phone. I generally like Reuters and AP the best.

Actually, I probably read more Fox articles than anything. I assume that's probably because I'm offered a wider range of liberal sites, but I try to read both liberal and conservative equally.

I don't know for sure how it works, but I assume if you read a story from one source on your phone it will then continue to give you more stories from them. I once read something from Vanity Fair and started getting more articles.

I sometimes get articles about PSU football, and even more about ND. I assume I most have googled something about them. I get nothing about Pitt, maybe because I get everything through Pantherlair?

The best source I have found has to be this one though.

Yes, since a consensus opinion means nothing in face of one's own beliefs...

Reuters is by far my most visited website, they seem to give pretty global coverage.

For the love of god, don't go to the Weather Channel. Their website is arguably the most malicious major website on the planet.

I actually "get" my news from Twitter and links provided by this message board.

I read 25 or so people daily on Twitter but it always grows greatly as they link interesting articles and other interesting Twitter sites.

I read a lot every day. I use logic and common sense to decide what to believe.

Anyone hoping to be informed by reading only 5 or 6 sources is just kidding themselves. Anyone basing their beliefs strictly by the credentials of someone is not fully informed.

The MSM is dead. There is a whole independent, new media out there. Just starting reading Twitter, you will find the links that take you there.

I have never said that has to be right, he said it or that has to be wrong, he said it. Consider the source does not work for me. I consider all information from any source and make my own independent judgement.

Tough to decipher. Articles nowadays are opinion pieces are “worst case scenarios” that appeal to right or left readership.
