This was discussed in another thread, but I'll bring it up here:
Central Catholic defensive tackle Rashad Wheeler announced a top five of Pitt, Penn State, Maryland, West Virginia and Virginia, but he's got a top two in that group: Pitt and Maryland.
From what we're hearing, Penn State's recent run of defensive tackle commitments has effectively closed the door for Wheeler in State College, and with the Nittany Lions out of the mix, I think Pitt is a solid favorite. He's looking at making a decision later this month or possibly in early August, and he's looking to visit Maryland and WVU before he commits. I wouldn't be surprised if he visits Pitt again prior to committing as well.
Assuming Pitt doesn't get three DT commits between now and then, I think Wheeler will pick the Panthers.
