So I've been a viewer of these forums for many years but just recently became a paying member. I was hesitant to join because of all the PSU bashing seemed to outshine the valuable content. Now here I am making my first post because of this PSU alum making himself look a fool last night and rubbing me the wrong way. I took my family down to the local mom & pop ice cream shop to get some goodies when this jerk comes rolling in. He gets out of his car and walks up to the window in a way that screamed "I'm a gift to mankind now bow down before me". When the 16 year old high school girl working the counter informed him that they didn't carry the type of sprinkles he requested he berated her in front of everyone. Are you serious?! You feel the need to talk down to a little girl because they mix chocolate sprinkles in with the rainbow ones?? So he pays for his cone and has $0.45 change coming. The girl asks him if he'd like to donate his change to Animal Friends because they are in the middle of a joint mission to collect for the needs of the program. He says "absolutely not" and demands his $0.45 back. Again...are you serious?? You just pulled up in a tricked out BMW wearing what appears to be a $300 golfing outfit and you act like this and can't spare $0.45. Then I realize why when I glance over to his car and notice the personalized embroidered PSU headrests. Apparently this is what they teach their students out in State College. Spend all your money to buy fancy things to the point where you can't spare $0.45 and are so arrogant that you belittle a 16 year old girl. So I walk up to the counter and give the girl all the remaining change I had in my pocket and tell her it's for that guy who couldn't afford to donate. Needless to say he wasn't happy especially when the girl gave me coupons for free cones for being so kind. Kudos to the 16 year old girl for knowing how to play the game of life. Something this PSU grad will never know or understand.
