Just thought I'd share a little nugget w the board.
I was right behind the Pitt bench at the Duke game, and as the D would huddle after they came off the field, the O coaches would yell "Whitehead". The kid would have to sprint from his D huddle and get to the O coaches as he was going in on the next play. That can not be easy to do.
We all know about the great athletic talent he is, but I really didn't appreciate the MENTAL side of it that he has to handle. To literally be called from a sideline meeting and be ready to go into the game within probably 30-45 secs is very impressive. Then to go into the game and make the plays on the field, you see how he handles it athletically. What's more impressive to me is how he handles it mentally. Takes a very mature young man to be able to handle that. This is why you don't see a whole lot of true freshman doing what he is doing. Heck, you don't see many upperclassmen across the country doing what he is being asked to do.
Very, very impressive.
