Who likes these announcers?

The play by play guy is a hockey announcer for the Capitals and used to be one of the main guys on Versus. Glen Mason is the former Minnesota coach. He's not bad to be honest. It is THE BIG TEN NETWORK so anyone expecting equal time are going to be disappointed.

Yeah now I'm officially sick of them. I've never seen a more blatant PI than the one not called in last year's Iowa game when the DB held Boyd. These guys wanna go nuts when the throw was nowhere close.

I am laughing that you DON"t see the absurdity in these announcers..
Oh we see it. Mason is the worst. A complete moron. This is the first I've heard the other guy.

And that was clearly PI, the safety took the receiver out. It was a tackle. It's hard to call it uncatchable when the receiver has no chance to get there because he's been tackled while the ball is in the air, right?

No doubt there was contact, but that pass was so uncatchable that it was irrelevant

I don't dispute the calls. .but I have never even heard the ND guys take an "angle" like these guys do. It took them until the 2nd quarter to mention the absence of James Conner.

We have people here saying that little bit of hand contact by the Iowa receiver on Pitts was offensive pass interference and others arguing that the Whitehead taking their receiver completely out of the play wasn't interference.

Come on people, let's be better than that.

Yeah. That's ridiculous.

I'll never understand announcers that don't do their homework.

Mason said it was 'unusual' that we started on O. We have literally done that almost 100% of KF's career. 16 flipping years of starting on O and its 'unusual' because 'we normally start on D'?? Sigh..... What a dolt

It is the Big Ten Network. You are going to get a homer call from the network. I would expect the same thing if the ACC had a network.

I actually had the radio on at the beginning. From what they said, we won the toss and deferred. So not only what you said about the announcers, but also since Iowa received, I think they just automatically assumed they won the toss.

Lol. Seriously. Makes it even worse. 1. No homework. 2. Not even aware of the actual situation. For the love of all things sacred....

Since Glen Mason is talking about what he'd do if he was coaching I thought this might be interesting.

Mason's total record as a head coach: 123-121-1
Mason's total record in conference games as a head coach: 67-92-1
Number of better than .500 seasons in 9 years coaching in the Big 8/12: 2
Number of better than .500 seasons in 10 years coaching in the Big 10: 2

Are you sure you can't figure out why you are in the booth and not down on the sideline Glen?
