Why is the Steelers Game on Fox?

Unsure, though it seems to happen every so often that and all-AFC game is on Fox.

Not certain for this game but when certain games get flexed out for primetime games, they sometimes negotiate a channel change to compensate for the network that lost the particular flex game

Usually the Eagles are on early 1 pm. Steelers are the late afternoon game great we'll get them.
Not today eagles are playing Dallas late today so we're stuck with the Eagles vs Dallas on FOX.

I'll watch the highlights on the Direct TV's NFL channel.

Not as simple as it used to be but I believe it had something to do with the bears and rams getting flexed to Sunday night

Well that should have been a quick watch of the highlights as they were all Steeler screw ups.

It seems to be a fairly recent development but there are times when they cross-network. On Thanksgiving, the three games involved all NFC teams but one game is allocated to CBS, so they picked up a game that would normally be under Fox's coverage.
