It was only one game, but do you foresee any changes (aside from potential injuries) or do things seem fairly set?

Seems rock solid to me- I wouldn’t change .

Love bringing the twins and Jeffress in as defensive energy . Lowe is a nice compliment to Bub and Ish.

Lost in the triple double was how good Fede was. Also- our bigs can really run - get out in transition. Will be a matchup issue all season for a lot of opponents.

I think GDG has surpassed Fede (brings more O) so maybe there but do you really need to start GDG? Fede is fine. Who plays more depends on game flow.

Jorge and Jeffress could potentially beat out Austin. I wouldn’t bet on it but its a possibility

I think there is some precedent for lineup changes under Capel's tenure, especially when the team has struggled. But once something is working, he tends to stick with it.

I really don't expect the lineup to change this year, barring injuries of course, as long as things are going well.

The only change that comes to mind though, is someone else starting instead of Zach.

I think your under selling Fede. He’s a better post defender and finisher . He set the tone last night from the tip - Fede might be an elite defender .

I like Fede a lot. GDG vs Fede is a good problem to have. One is a better defender. The other is better offensively. Lets not forget though that Fede was abused on the perimeter by Basille and inside out by Flip the first. He was hurt the 2nd game. And GDG shut down the Miss St dude.

Doesn’t matter. It’s overall minutes and who is in at the end that matters. But I would think this combination is set.

I could definitely see a situation where Capel could end up deciding that Austin is best as a high energy guy off the bench and inserting Jorge (especially if he keeps shooting well) or Jeffress in the starting lineup. But then again, Jeffress’ best role is also as the high energy guy off the bench, so I don’t know what that really gets you.

Not for a starting lineup.

But do you think there’s any scenario where we see the twins and Fede on the court at the same time?

I forgot how much fun it is to have the twins on the court at the same time, so I want to see them with Fede out there, just for the absurdity of it. You’d also need two strong ball handlers, so like Bub and Ish.

We were kinda rooting for a minute or two of this last night, but outside of a really weird foul trouble situation, I don’t foresee that lineup every playing.

So bumping this back up after 3 games now. Leggett, Hinson, Carrington, and Fede still bringing it. Off night shooting aside. I think the question is should Austin now become Nike off the bench? He was a high volume shooter at HP but will not get that volume here. Maybe he could take the threes like Nike did last year. And I never thought I would say it, but maybe Jeffress D will be needed more in conference than what Austin can bring O wise right now…The twins seemed good and then inconsistent. Lowe very nice game tonight and will be a needed piece this year as well.
