MatScouts has Pitt finishing 15th at the NCAA Tournament with two All-Americans.

He has Cole 5th, Dayton 7th and Mac losing in the blood round. V-Sant is in the round of 16.

What are your thoughts? Would you sign up today for a 15th-place finish? Or are you holding out for more?

I want to say yes because realistically that be a good result for them but I feel like our hopes should be set a little higher

That seems pretty reasonable to me. I would take a 15th place finish as a tournament team, however I think we are an even better dual team this year.

I was just thinking of what realistic expectations are for Pitt and I was thinking 6-7 Qualifiers per year. 2 AAs per year. National Champion every 5-10 years. Top 3 in ACC every 4 out of 5 years.

I would take it as well cause usually we finish ranked in top 15 as a team for the regular season but at nationals finish in mid 20’s due to having very little bonus point wrestlers. I think we all believe that we can be consistently 10-15 or better every year with (new facilities, better recruiting, more bonus points, NIL being more of a factor, and continued development). Definitely need at least 1 all-American every year(preferably more) and a national champion more frequent than one every 15-20 years.

I somehow missed Holden. Willie has him losing in the blood round as well.

We have had too many losses in the blood round. Good we get a few guys their last couple years. Have to start getting them over the hump. I guess that is the hard part.
