No. She was no longer a starter and her minutes went down as the season wore on. There’s a reason she was in the portal. This is no sweat for the staff or for fans of the program. She is one of their best players. It has to be a blow.
Kentucky has 478 players on the roster. They have a crazy class size again with transfers and hs players. We have two girls committed there and I really have no idea how there is room to keep adding more.No. She was no longer a starter and her minutes went down as the season wore on. That said, she’s a good player, as evidenced by Kentucky, Oklahoma and Florida being her final 3. She still has two years left.
Emily is a good player who just needed good coaching so the upside was there with her. Obviously our staff and their pedigree got everything they could out of her. She did well for us during a transitory period where we needed a step up in talent. But she barely played down the stretch for us this year and in the tourney, seemingly because the roster got better all around her and she got passed on the depth chart. But she certainly had a nice career here and if Florida is back in that transitory phase, she will likely contribute there too. Good for her. Quite a way to get a post graduate degree. She may have two before she’s done. She already graduated in December and is already working toward another degree before she even gets to Florida where she will have 2 years of eligibility left.Kentucky has 478 players on the roster. Oklahoma fired their coach recently. Apparently a real a-hole.
Florida has a newer staff after firing the last coach after a very short and what seems to be hostile environment.
That’s not a bad gig at all. A fresh soccer start and get those degrees paid for as much as possible. Sometimes it’s a bad fit, you get recruited over, you lose your minutes, or whatever. The portal is just crazy with so many players not finding new landing spots.Emily is a good player who just needed good coaching so the upside was there with her.
