Yeah, but they didn't play any top level competition. Their best win was against the RPI number 40 team. Pitt has played and beaten much better teams than Dayton. Of course Pitt has also lost to worse teams than Dayton too.
I'm actually pumped for this. Watched a few games on the ACC Network Extra.
Was hoping to take my girls down there for a match or two. They really enjoy volleyball. Next year.

From donating to the preseason Europe trip, to seeing them live in Santa Barbara, to now has been a fun ride. Love this program & glad to see them finally breakthrough.
Women beat Dayton 3 sets to 1! Moving on and playing winner of PSU and whoever the hell they are playing tomorrow!

PSU split with Michigan and lost at home to UNC. Pitt can beat PSU. Doesn't mean they will, but this game is not a given.

Well, you can't get off to a better start than that. 9-3 in set one at the first TO.
Great 1st set, Pitt 25-20.
Great start...but followed up by just a nightmare of a set with 6 errors. They better get it together because that was ugly. 16-25...tied 1-1.
Down 1-6 in the third and already 3 errors.
Absolutely got destroyed in the 3rd set, 13-25. 13 errors! Looked like absolute garbage. They're going to need a miracle now. Pitt isn't that bad!

Not a great performance today, but it was a good year and good foundation for Fisher moving forward.

No. Pitt has reached the "Sweet 16" of the AIAW and NCAA tournament 3 times (1979, 81, & 90). The AIAW was the sponsor of women's national sports before the NCAA assumed the role (NCAA used to only be men).
Pitt's program was really solid through the early 90s. Fisher is trying to get it back to that level.
