This weekend is the annual college basketball coaches association convention in New Orleans. I’m sure that Capel, like almost every college basketball coach, is there this weekend. It’s why the week-long dead period started yesterday. I don’t know if I’d describe that as a vacation, though.
The only thing that matters is the roster Capel brings into the year and how much he wins. I suspect he know he is likely don’t but he keep trying to recruit (see Cummings being added).
I personally don’t see a likely season that he could have which gets him retained after this year as all he will have is transfers that he would have to backfill for but one never knows.

I’m as anti Capel as anyone but this is a dumb post.
Not to sound dumb, but does this apply to the transfers also, or is it for high school and JUCO players?
I thought I read they had a zoom meeting with the Cal Pa kid the other day.
No in person with any kid...high school, portal, AAU. Until Aptil 7th.
No in-person recruiting or visits are allowed, but texts and calls are permitted.
